Using Canvas Pages and Modules for Course Navigation

In this video, I walk through one method for combining pages and modules in Canvas to improve course navigation. It's designed especially for remote or fully-online instruction. Hopefully, this will help you develop your own approach to laying out your course in ways that encourages student success.

I made a screencast providing an overview of where and how you can create videos in Canvas. This won't be a replacement for other tools like Kaltura Capture and Zoom, but it might provide a nice way to increase a sense of teacher presence for your students.

On Synchronicity

My plan for this quarter was to do everything asynchronously. I was going to pre-record mini-lectures for my courses, post them, and then have students respond and hold discussions in Canvas discussion forums.
